Ferries travel from nearby Nova Scotia to this quintessential Maine town regularly, so residents are conveniently connected to another coastal community along the Atlantic. Bar Harbor is truly a special place — one you have to experience to fully understand all that it has to offer.

For those who prefer land-based excursions, renowned parks are available, including Agamont Park, which offers unforgettable views of the harbor. However, Bar Harbor’s crown jewel is nearby Acadia National Park, a national treasure boasting some of the world’s best hiking trails and stunning views.

With events such as the 4th of July celebration, you won't find a more enjoyable place to settle down. The annual Pajama Sale is a charming local tradition in which patrons shopping in their pajamas get special deals.
